Police have launched an appeal after a man required treatment at hospital following a serious assault in Elgin.
Officers were alerted after a 39-year-old man was found by members of the public on City Arms Close with serious injuries at around 2.15am on Sunday, September 4.
The man later attended Dr Gray’s Hospital for treatment on his injuries.
His current condition is unknown.
Constable Jamie Barclay said: “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and I would urge anyone with information to get in touch.
“We would be keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time or anyone who went to the aid of the man.
“Anyone with information should call police via 101, quoting incident 0772 of September 6, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
