A92 closed for second day in a row due to severe flooding

Drivers have been urged to plan an alternative route as engineers tackle the floodwater.

A major road has closed for the second day in a row due to “severe flooding”.

Traffic Scotland reported on Tuesday morning that the A92 was shut in both directions between the Parbroath Junction and Forgan Roundabout.

It comes after the route was closed between Melville Lodges and Parbroath on Monday morning.

Drivers have been urged to plan an alternative route.

Amey, which looks after roads in the North East Trunk Network on behalf of Transport Scotland, remains at the scene in an effort to get the route fully operational.
