'Two-vehicle' crash closes major road in both directions

A crash involving two vehicles has closed a major road in the Highlands in both directions.

Traffic Scotland confirmed the A82 at Invermoriston near Drumnadrochit was closed heading north and south after two vehicles collided after 6pm on Tuesday.

Police Scotland and the road’s operating company are said to be on the scene.

Drivers are being advised to use alternative routes while the road remains closed.

A Traffic Scotland post read: “The A82 at Invermoriston is currently closed in both directions due to a road traffic incident.

“Road users are advised to use an alternative route and expect longer than normal travel times.”

Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
