Three people have been seriously hurt in a crash involving two motorbikes on a Highland road.

Emergency services were called to the A939 at Bridge of Brown near Tormintoul at around 3pm on Wednesday afternoon.

Two men and one woman involved in the collision have been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.

Police warned the road was likely to remain closed for some time.

“Officers are in attendance on the A939 near Bridge of Brown following a serious two-vehicle crash involving two motorbikes,” a Police Scotland spokesperson said.

“Three people, two men and a woman, have been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.

“The road is closed between the Dorback junction and the B9136 junction and is likely to be closed for some time.”
