iStockA suspect has been charged after a woman was sexually assaulted in an Inverness street.
The incident happened on Brown Street at around 2.15am on Wednesday, November 24 last year.
Police launched an investigation to track down the attacker after he was chased by the 35-year-old victim and her friend.
On Monday, the force confirmed a 39-year-old man had been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson added: “The man is due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Monday, January 3.”
