A second pensioner has died following a two-car crash in the Highlands.
The incident took place on the A9 at around 4.20pm on Friday, November 19, near Inverness.
A white Nissan Pixo and a red Volvo V60 collided at the Munlochy junction for the B9161 and A9.
The driver of the white Nissan, an 86-year-old woman, was taken to Raigmore Hospital where she died last month following the incident.
Police have now confirmed that an 88-year-old man, a passenger in the White Nissan who was injured in the crash, died on Saturday, December 4.
Sergeant Neil MacDonald, of Police Scotland’s Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased.
“The family have asked that their privacy is respected at this time.”
