A 91-year-old man has allegedly been assaulted at a care home in Skye.
Police confirmed officers were investigating the incident which allegedly took place at Home Farm in Portree last month.
A spokeswoman for the force added that enquiries are at an early stage.
NHS Highland, which operates the home, said it would be inappropriate to comment due to the ongoing investigation.
The health board bought the facility from a private firm in 2020 after 11 residents died during the early stages of the Covid pandemic.
