A 35-year-old motorcyclist who died in a crash with a SUV in Glencoe has been named.

Ross James Dominick from Johnstone was pronounced dead at the scene on the A82 at the junction with the Buachaille Etive Beag car park in Glencoe at about noon on Sunday.

The crash involved a BMW motorcycle and a Mazda CX5.

The 52-year-old driver of the car was arrested and charged.

He was released by police on an undertaking to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Tuesday, July 25.

Police are continuing to appeal for information in relation to the crash.

Inspector Scott Deans of the Road Policing Unit said: “Our thoughts are with Ross’ family and friends at this difficult time.

“Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we would ask anyone with information which has not yet been passed to police to contact us on 101 quoting 1435 of July 23.”
