Man airlifted to hospital following crash during heavy snowfall

A 41-year-old man was taken to hospital after the crash between Dulnain Bridge and Grantown on Spey on Wednesday.

A driver was taken to hospital in a helicopter following a crash on the A95 amid heavy snowfall.

The A95 was closed in both directions following a one-vehicle crash between Dulnain Bridge and Grantown on Spey at around at around 12.15pm on Wednesday after heavy snow was reported in the area.

Emergency services attended and a 41-year-old man was taken to Raigmore Hospital in an air ambulance.

His current condition is unknown.

Traffic Scotland reported that the road reopened at around 1.35pm.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.45am on Wednesday, January 18, officers received a report of a one vehicle crash on the A95, between Dulnain Bridge and Grantown on Spey.

“Emergency services attended, including the air ambulance, and a 41-year-old man was taken to Raigmore Hospital for treatment.

“The road has been cleared and fully re-opened.”
