A man has died following a quad bike crash in the Highlands.
Adam Reid, 18, from Muir of Ord was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident that took place on Docarty Brae, Dingwall on Friday afternoon.
Emergency services attended after police were made aware of the crash at around 2.45pm.
No other vehicles were involved.
The road was closed until around 7.50pm to allow for an investigation at the scene.
Sergeant Ewan Calder said: “Our thoughts are with Adam’s family and friends at this time.
“Our enquiries are ongoing and I would urge anyone who has information which has not yet been passed to police to call 101, quoting incident 2162 of 21 February.”
