SNS GroupA man has appeared in court charged with murder after a man died in Wick.
The incident took place in Barrogill Street in the Caithness town at around 9.30pm on Saturday.
A 50-year-old man was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness where he died on Tuesday.
Bruce Rothwell was arrested and appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court in connection with the death on Thursday.
The 60-year-old, of Wick, made no plea and was remanded in custody.
He is due to reappear within eight days.
