Police have launched an appeal after a man was assault by four men on a railway bridge.
The incident happened on Sunday, December 3 around 5pm at the Tain Links railway bridge.
The men have been described as wearing dark clothing.
Police have asked anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the assault to come forward as they continue their investigations.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Police officers in Tain are appealing for any witnesses or any one with any information about an assault which occurred on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at around 5pm at the Tain Links railway bridge.
“A man was assaulted by four males dressed in dark clothing.
“Anyone who may have been driving on Shore Road, Tain at this time or anyone with infomation is urged to contact Police Scotland 101, quoting refrence 2543 of 03/12/2023.
“Alternatively, information can also be passed anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.“
