A man has been arrested after a crash on the A9 that left one in hospital.

Emergency services were called to road near Aviemore after receiving reports of a collision between a car and a lorry at around 4.30pm on Monday.

The driver of the car was taken to Raigmore Hospital for treatment.

His current condition is unknown.

A 26-year-old man has since been arrested in connection with the crash.

The road was closed for around four hours and re-opened around 8.30pm.

Sergeant Craig McGhee said: “Our enquiries into the circumstances of what happened are under way.

“I would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who has dash-cam footage to contact us as soon as possible, you may have captured something that could assist our investigation.”
