A man was airlifted to hospital with “serious injuries” following a motorbike crash in The Highlands.

Officers were alerted to the crash along the A832, around three miles from Kinlochewe, around 3pm on Saturday.

Police said the motorcyclist was driving along the road when it appeared to lose control and slide into the verge.

Emergency services attended and the 43-year-old male rider was airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious injuries.

The force said enquiries into the incident are “ongoing” and urged anyone with information to come forward.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident and officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.

“Any road users with dash cam equipment on the road around the time of the crash are asked to check their footage as it could contain images which could assist the ongoing investigation.

“Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 2195 of July 13, 2024.”
