A man has been airlifted to hospital following a three-car crash which shut down the A9 in the Highlands.
Emergency services were called to the scene on the A889 junction near Dalwhinnie at around 1.35pm on Friday.
One man was taken to hospital by air ambulance and his condition is currently unknown.
A woman was also treated at the scene following the crash.
The major road has been closed in both directions with diversions in place for vehicles under 3.5 tonnes.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Emergency services are in attendance following a three-vehicle crash on the A9 at the A889 junction near Dalwhinnie which was reported around 1.35pm on Friday, August 26.
“One man has been taken to hospital by air ambulance and one woman is receiving treatment at the scene.
“The road is closed in both directions and local diversions are in place for vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes.”
