Man airlifted to hospital after crash between two motorcycles

A 49-year-old man suffered serious injuries during the collision in Sutherland on Saturday.

A man has been seriously injured in a crash between two motorcycles in Sutherland. 

The collision happened near Duartmore north of Kylestrome at around 12.10pm on Saturday.

A 49-year-old man was airlifted to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness following the incident. His injuries are described as serious but not life-threatening.

The 47-year-old male rider of the other motorcycle was uninjured.

The road was closed for around four hours during an investigation at the scene.

Sergeant David Miller said: “We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances leading to this collision.

“I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have dashcam footage to get in touch.

“Anyone with information can call 101, quoting incident 1745 of August 8.”
