Jason Bourne has been remanded in custody in the Shetland Isles.
The 35-year-old, of no fixed abode, appeared at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Wednesday over an alleged assault to injury.
He made no plea over the charge in front of the sheriff.
The case was committed for further examination and Mr Bourne is scheduled to appear again within the next eight days.
No date has been set for his next hearing.
