'Increasing concern' for missing woman after car found during search

UPDATE: A body has been found in the search for a woman who disappeared overnight in Moray.

Police are growing “increasingly concerned” for a missing woman after a car was found during a search.

Mary Fraser from Lossiemouth was last seen around 8am on Tuesday, February 13 in the Dean Terrace area of the Moray town.

Police discovered a white Kia Sportage which she had access to on Inchbroom Road.

The 57-year-old is described as being around 5ft 5in in height, with brown bobbed hair.

Police say she was last seen wearing jeans, ankle length walking boots and a blue jacket.

Inspector Graeme Cupples said: “We are growing increasingly concerned by Mary’s disappearance as it is very out of character.

“Our enquiries to trace her are ongoing and I am appealing to anyone who has seen Mary, who has any information on her whereabouts or who has seen her vehicle going about Lossiemouth to contact us.”
