Police Scotland are trying to trace the driver of a black Volkswagen after the collision near the Nevis Range.

Police are hunting a car that was overtaking another vehicle at the time of a three car crash on Christmas Eve on the A82 in the Highlands.

Emergency services were called to the scene just north of the Nevis range junction between Fort William and Spean Bridge at around 7pm on Friday, December 24.

A woman was injured in the collision but did not require hospital treatment.

Officers investigating the crash are trying to trace a black Volkswagen that was driving northbound and overtaking another car at the time.

Police urged any witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage to come forward.

Road Policing constable Shaun Knox said: “There was a black Volkswagen motor car driving northbound at the time of the collision which was overtaking another motor car. We are keen to trace the driver of this car.

“We would also ask any witnesses to the crash, or anyone driving on this road around the time of the incident who has dash-cam footage to contact us.”
