Multiple streets have been cordoned off in Caithness due to a gas leak.
Officers responded to reports of a gas leak in Wick around 8.50am on Friday.
Police confirmed that Thurso Street, Thurso Road, Bankhead, Newton Road and Kenneth Street were all closed due to the incident.
The force advised people to avoid the area while enquiries were “ongoing”.
Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
