Charity money and jar of tips stolen during break-in at takeaway

Police say the theft occurred between Monday evening and Tuesday morning.

Police are appealing for witness after a charity tin and a tip jar were stolen from a takeaway in Inverness.

The force say the incident occurred between 11pm on Monday, February 12 and 11am on Tuesday, February 13 at a takeaway on Telford Street.

A tin containing money for charity and a tip jar were taken.

Police say enquiries are ongoing.

A Police Scotland statement read: “We are appealing to anyone who may have information to come forward.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 1940 of February 13, 2024.”
