A body has been found in the search for a man who has been missing for two days on the Isle of Lewis.
Mark Elston was last seen on Tuesday morning when he left Kenneth Street in Stornoway driving a blue Volvo C70 convertible car.
On Wednesday, around 2pm, he then contacted a friend and arranged to meet up but then did not appear.
He failed to return home and an appeal was launched to trace him.
Police confirmed on Thursday that officers have recovered a man’s body in the Ness area of the Isle of Lewis.
The man has not been formally identified, but Mr Elston’s family has been made aware.
