A motorist has been taken to hospital and part of a major road has been closed in both directions following a two-car crash.
Crews from Police Scotland, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) and the Scottish Ambulance Service rushed to the scene near the Ralia Junction on the A9 near Newtonmore shortly before 2pm on Saturday afternoon.
SFRS responders freed at least one person from a vehicle before passing them into the care of paramedics.
The road remains closed while an initial investigation takes place.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a crash involving two cars on the A9 near the Ralia Junction at Newtonmore shortly before 2pm on Saturday, August 5.
“The road is currently closed and emergency services are at the scene.”
