The A9 is closed in both directions after a “serious” multi-vehicle crash in the Highlands.
The major road is closed in both directions about three miles south of Alness, following the incident on Tuesday at around 12:40pm.
Drivers have been warned to avoid the area, with the road to be closed “for some time” following the accident.
The Perth and Kinross police division tweeted: “The A9 near Alness will be closed for some time while emergencies services deal with a serious crash involving a number of vehicles.
“Motorists are asked to seek alternatives routes.”
