Part of the A9 has been closed due to wintry conditions as snow continues to batter the Highlands.
The road between Helmsdale and Berridale was initially closed at 11.45am due to snow.
The closure comes after several vehicles became stuck with Traffic Scotland describing the conditions as “particularly tricky”.
Gritters and tractors are working to clear the roads and emergency services have been informed.
Latest updates from Traffic Scotland confirmed that the road remained closed as of 4.03pm.
Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
