Police are seeking witnesses who may have seen a crash which caused the death of a young man.

Angus Plowman died of his injuries at Raigmore Hospital following the collision on the Black Isle on January 4.

Two others were treated for minor injuries at the scene of the collision on the A832 Avoch to Munlochy Road.

Officers want to speak to the occupants of a silver family car seen travelling on the road towards Munlochy at the time.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "As part of ongoing enquiries into the collision, officers are looking to trace the occupants of a silver family car, which would have been travelling towards Munlochy on the A832 at that time and may have witnessed the movements of the two vehicles involved prior to the collision or come across the collision."

Anyone with any information has been asked to contact Police Scotland on its 101 non-emergency number.
