Tom Jones and Lionel Richie will top the bill at this year’s Edinburgh Summer Sessions.
The musical greats will be joined by Michael Kiwanuka, The 1975, McFly, Simple Minds and Travis who are all set to perform shows at the city’s Princes Street Gardens this August.
Set to return to the festival, It’s Not Unusual singer Jones will take to the stage on Saturday, August 8.
Famous for hits such as Hello and All Night Long, Richie prepares to make his Summer Sessions debut on August 9.
The 70-year-old star said: “I’m really looking forward to heading back to Scotland next summer, the crowds are some of the best in the world and I can’t wait to get back over there to see you all.”
This year’s award-winning line-up also includes Michael Kiwanuka who has been nominated for two Brit Awards in 2020.
Indie favourites The 1975 are also making their Edinburgh Summer Sessions festival debut on August 12.
Pop boyband McFly will be welcomed to the festival on August 13 as they continue their massive comeback after a hiatus.
The band said: “We’re so excited to play Edinburgh Summer Sessions for the first time ever.
“It’s going to be an amazing show in front of Edinburgh Castle and we really can’t wait to get back to Scotland – see you this summer.”
One of Scotland’s most successful band ever, Simple Minds, join the line-up as they headline on August 18.
Making a much-anticipated return to Edinburgh after a seven year absence, Scots band Travis will close the run of shows, as they make their Summer Sessions debut on August 20.
Frontman Fran Healy said, “Very excited to announce this show.
“The venue is pretty breath taking with Edinburgh Castle as our backdrop. See you there.”
