Tickets for Calvin Harris at Hampden Park have sold out within hours of going on general sale.

The DJ, songwriter and performer is returning to Scotland to perform at the national stadium in Glasgow this summer.

Tickets for the July 2 concert were available to buy from 10am on Friday but had completely sold out before 3pm the same day.

The 38-year-old, whose hits include Acceptable in the 80s and Feel So Close, has not played in his home country since T in the Park in 2016.

His last solo concert in Scotland was at the Hydro in Glasgow nine years ago.

The Dumfries-born star has topped charts across the globe, amassing 27 top ten singles in the UK alone, and fans can expect to hear all of his classic tunes at the one-night only event.

He also has over 35 billion combined audio and video streams in his career history, making him one of the most viewed artists on YouTube and one of Sony Music’s biggest streaming artists.

His work has garnered a number of top music awards and nominations, including 14 MTV VMA nominations and two wins, five Grammy nominations and a 2013 Grammy Award win in the Best Music Video category for “We Found Love”, making him one of the most celebrated Scottish artists of all time.
