Susan Boyle has reunited with “dear friend” Donny Osmond for a special performance in Glasgow.
The pair appeared on stage together at the OVO Hydro on Sunday after previously duetting on Boyle’s fourth studio album Standing Ovation: The Greatest Songs from the Stage.
A clip showed the moment the 62-year-old singer impressed the Glasgow audience when she belted out a song alongside Osmond.
Osmond shared his excitement in reuniting with his “dear friend” with his over 200,000 followers on X, formerly known as Twitter.
An image of the pair and a video of Susan Boyle back stage was captioned: “In Glasgow, Scotland and low and behold, guess who showed up to my concert? My dear friend, Susan Boyle! She was waiting in one of the dressing rooms backstage to go out to the audience and I heard this angel voice in the hallway.
“I walked up to the door and….”
The performance comes just months after Boyle first returned to the stage after stepping away from the spotlight for a number of years due to ill health.
Boyle returned with an emotional performance on Britain’s Got Talent, where she got her big break.
After the performance she told hosts Ant and Dec of her health struggles. Declan Donnelly asked her: “How does it feel to be back on Britain’s Got Talent?”
The singer replied: “It feels great! It’s extra special for me actually because last April there I suffered a minor stroke and I thought it would be crazy to be back on stage and I have done it!”
