A Scots gym owner is returning to Love Island as part of the new line-up for the hit show’s All Stars series.
Anton Danyluk from Airdrie was a contestant on series five of the reality TV show in 2019 and has been announced as part of the group heading back to the villa this month.
The 29-year-old fitness mentor will star in the series hosted by Maya Jama which is set to hit screens on Monday, January 15.
Filmed in South Africa, the spin-off show aims to give former contestants a ‘second chance of love’.
Danyluk finished in fifth place after pairing up with internet personality Belle Hassan before the duo broke up.
The Scot reckons the experience of seeing Craig David perform a set at the villa in 2019 will live with him forever and that it was a “no brainer” to return to the reality show.
He said: “I got the call and it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity and probably the best summer I have ever had in my life. Getting the chance to do it twice is going to be unbelievable.
“I think this time with Love Island: All Stars, things will be different, as we all understand what it’s like to go on Love Island and the only thing now missing is finding a partner. I’m really excited at the prospect of it.
On his memorable moments from his first stint in the villa, he added: “There are two that stand out for me! If I get seen out, people always ask me ‘does your mum still shave your bum?’ Haha. That just doesn’t go away!
“And of course it has to be Craig David performing. It was iconic.”
Love Island starts at 9pm Monday, January 15 on ITV1, ITV2, ITVX & STV.
