Scots snooker player Stephen Hendry revealed as Rubbish on The Masked Singer ITV

Scottish snooker player Stephen Hendry has been revealed as Rubbish on The Masked Singer.

Hendry landed in the bottom two following an audience vote – meaning he had to perform again, this time opting for My Old Man’s A Dustman by Lonnie Donegan while fellow contestant Jacket Potato sang Brass In Pocket by The Pretenders.

After the performances, the judges opted to save Jacket Potato and gave their final guesses as to who Rubbish could be with suggestions including The Repair Shop’s Jay Blades, presenter Paddy McGuinness, and Olympic cyclist Sir Bradley Wiggins.

Judge Jonathan Ross was the closest as he thought it could be snooker player Ronnie O’Sullivan, but he fell slightly short of the mark.

Asked why he had decided to do the show, Hendry said: “I love the show, I really do. And it’s obviously way out of my comfort zone so I thought why not? Let’s give it a go.”
