Hit TV show Outlander is looking for trainees to work on the upcoming season.
Screen Scotland is advertising 32 traineeships to work with the “finest technicians and creatives” in the film and TV industry on the upcoming seventh season.
The jobs are for roles including painting, rigging, plastering, carpentry, costume, production, and locations – and have salaries between £433 and £546 per week.
Applicants don’t have to have any formal qualifications to apple for the roles.
Screen Scotland said: “Outlander is a commission from Sony Pictures and Starz and represents a significant production spend and training opportunity for Scotland.
“Since Outlander began filming in Scotland in 2014, Screen Scotland, Outlander and ScreenSkills have co-funded a traineeships programme across all departments including camera, costume, design, assistant director, art department, effects and production – to approximately twenty trainees per series.”
Scots actor Sam Heughan, who has played the role of Jamie Fraser in the hit Jacobite drama for the last eight years, joked on Twitter he might even apply for the traineeship.
Deadline for application is January 3, 2022, with filming for the new season reported to star next year.
