Ocean Colour Scene are set to return to the stage to headline one of Scotland’s biggest summer music festivals.

The English band have been confirmed as the headliners of Edinburgh Summer Sessions set to be held at the Royal Highland Showgrounds on Saturday, August 17.

Formed in 1989 in Solihull, Ocean Colour Scene became a vital part of the Britpop scene, with hits including The Day We Caught the Train, Better Day, and Hundred Mile High City.

Supporting the band on the night will be The View, Embrace, Alabama 3, Reverend and the Makers, and Republica.

The Summer Sessions are set to take place across Scotland after first launching in Glasgow in 2013.

The annual event is renowned for its star-studded line-ups, featuring some of the world’s most iconic musical acts across various genres.

Summer Sessions will feature an additional date in Edinburgh, set to headlined by Catfish and the Bottlemen, and will also take place in Stirling, with country music legend Shania Twain set to headline.

Tickets for Ocean Colour Scene and friends at Edinburgh Summer Sessions go on sale from 10am on Friday, March 15.

You can also sign up at the website for early presale access from 10am on Thursday, March 14.
