Welsh rockers Manic Street Preachers have been announced as a headline act at this year’s Party At The Palace in Linlithgow.
The seventh outing of the summer festival will also feature Dancing In The Moonlight singers Toploader and I Wish You Well star Becky Hill, Bathgate band The Snuts and teenage Dundee singer Be Charlotte.
The Preachers will headline the Saturday night of the festival, which takes place in the shadow of Linlithgow Palace, on August 8.
Sunday night will be closed by OMD and Hot Dub Time Machine.
Organisers say the expect this year’s to be the best yet.
Event director John Richardson said: “Both days are a little bit different – Saturday sees one of our biggest ever headliners take to the main stage; Manic Street Preachers and there is a strong local supporting cast with The Snuts, Luke La Volpe and Mark Sharp and The Bicycle Thieves.
“As always, Sunday is pretty much an all-day party. Toe-tapping and head nodding to start with Brand New Heavies and Peat and Diesel, building up to a full foot-stomping, hands in the air finale with Hot Dub Time Machine and the legendary OMD.”
