Lewis Capaldi has reacted to a video which went viral of a young fan’s emotional reaction to seeing him at Glasgow’s Hydro.
Isabella “Izzie” Gallacher was captured squealing with excitement in the clip as the West Lothian superstar took to the stage at the venue on Tuesday.
“She has always really loved Lewis, so …’Santa’ got us all tickets,” mum Claire told STV News.
“We knew she would be excited, but weren’t sure if it would all be overwhelming. But when I saw her wee face as the band came on, I thought I’d better film it as she looked so happy, but I had no idea how happy.
“She really loved it, she had her eyes glued to him the whole time, didn’t even want to go to the toilet in case she missed anything.
“Her brother and sister all love listening to him. But they only hear the music, we were so relieved the jokes went over their heads.”
The Someone You Loved singer shared the video on Twitter, adding: “I wish my friends and loved ones got this excited when I walked into a room.”
The clip went viral on social media, with many reacting to the heartfelt video.
One user wrote: “This is what live music is all about for me, young people seeing their heroes in the flesh for the 1st time, right in front of their eyes, not on TV or Youtube and falling in love with actually being there and experiencing it.
“Wee Izzie will be hooked on gigs now!”
The Scots singer, 26, was performing as part of his world tour at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow on Tuesday.
All UK dates for the tour are now sold out.
