Kevin Bridges recognised as SEC's first platinum artist after sell-out run

Kevin Bridges has been named the Glasgow SEC’s first Platinum Artist after chalking up a record number of shows.

The comedian’s 16 sell-out nights at the OVO Hydro for his ‘Overdue Catch Up’ tour brought his total to 63 performances over the last 12 years. 

He was presented with the newly created accolade on Thursday after his latest run drew to a close.

Debbie McWilliams, SEC’s director of live entertainment said: “It is always a pleasure to welcome Kevin back to the SEC, and this year more so than most as he reaches this significant milestone. 

“It is fitting that homegrown talent is the recipient of our first Platinum Artist award. Kevin now paves the way for other artists to be recognised with this new award.”
