The husband of Paul O’Grady has expressed his gratitude to those who shared tributes to the late comedian and presenter.
The TV star, also known for drag persona Lily Savage, died on Tuesday evening.
His husband Andre Portasio announced his death, confirming he passed away “unexpectedly but peacefully” at the age of 67.
On Friday he shared the last image he has with O’Grady on what was their last holiday together before his death.
Messages of love and admiration have flooded in across the entertainment sector and beyond throughout the week.
Manager of Planet, one of the most iconic gay bars in Edinburgh, Darren Paterson told STV News O’Grady had been a “friend of the staff for over 20 years”.
He had visited recently during performances of Annie at the Edinburgh Playhouse, where he was playing Miss Hannigan.
The Playhouse also released a tribute stating: “We are deeply saddened by the news of the sudden passing of much loved actor, comedian and TV personality Paul O’Grady.
“We have many wonderful memories of him. From his early days with Lily to his most recent visit last week, in the musical Annie where he played Miss Hannigan to great acclaim.
“He was warm, funny and kind, always making time for staff members and of course the office pups.”

He stated: “In time I hope to write to everyone individually and thank you for all posts, messages, phone calls, emails, cards and flowers of support. I much appreciate you all taking the time to reach out. I’m so very touched and I’m sure Paul would be too!
“Browsing for a picture I found the last picture we ever took together. Unbeknownst to us back in January this would be our last ever holiday together.”
