Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is expecting his first child with long-term partner Erin Darke, it has been revealed.
The pair are set to become first-time parents later this year, according to the Mirror.
Radcliffe, 33, who played the titular character in the film franchise based on JK Rowling’s book series, and American actress Darke, 38, reportedly met on the set of 2013 film Kill Your Darlings.
Former child star Radcliffe, whose other film roles include 2012 horror The Woman In Black and 2016 comedy Swiss Army Man, divides his time between the UK and US.
Darke is well-known for her role as Cindy in the TV series Good Girls Revolt. She also plays Mary in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Leeta in the AMC series Dietland.
She has appeared in the films Love & Mercy, Beside Still Waters, Still Alice, and Don’t Think Twice.
Recalling their first meeting, Radcliffe said in 2019: “It’ll be a hell of a story to tell our kids one day, our characters are meeting and flirting with each other, so there is this kind of sweet record of us just meeting for the first time.”
The pair first publicly came into the limelight at the 2014 Tony Awards, celebrating Radcliffe’s work on The Cripple of Inishmaan.
Following an eight-year break from the public eye, they then appeared together in March 2022, for the premiere of Radcliffe’s film The Lost City.
