Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay surprised staff at a Glasgow restaurant as he dropped in for dinner while visiting the city.
The Hell’s Kitchen star visited Finnieston’s Ox and Finch on Friday to sample some dishes in what he described as a “great dinner”.
The Sauchiehall Street restaurant later posted a photo on Instagram of their smiling staff with Ramsay, writing: “Thrilled to welcome you to Ox and Finch tonight, Gordon.”
After tagging the star, he praised the restaurant replying to the post: “Such a great dinner, thank you and congrats @oxandfinch.”
Ramsay, who is originally from Johnstone, also travelled to Gourock during his trip.
Owners of The Cove welcomed “the friendliest man” as he visited following recommendations from locals.
The cafe said that the restaurateur visited for lunch and spent time speaking with staff and customers.
Posting a photo of their team and the chef on social media, they wrote: “Well…it’s not everyday @GordonRamsay visits Gourock.
“Following recommendations from loyal locals, the friendliest man visited today, spent time chatting to our lovely customers and our (very calm) amazing team whilst having lunch! “What a day! Well done as always to our team.”
