Chase & Status have been announced as the headliner for a weekend beach festival in Aberdeen.
The electronic dance giants will headline September’s Cultivate festival, which will be held at the city’s Beach Links for the first time.
Known for chart topping hits such as Blind Faith, Time, and End Credits, the band will take to the stage on Saturday, September 21.
They join a cast of previously announced artists at the electronic music festival, including Ben Hemsley, Partiboi69, Kettama, Simone, Effy and Lovefoxy.
Since its launch in 2021, organisers have said that Cultivate has “outgrown” their original venue of Innoflate, and this year will be its first as a fully customised outdoor festival arena.
The new site, which is a 15 minute walk from the city centre’s train station, will have three stages.
This includes a Big Top Main Stage, multiple bars, art installations, food trucks, a vintage market, fairground rides and a capacity of 3,000-plus music lovers per day.
Rory Masson, co-festival director, said: “We are beyond excited to welcome Chase & Status to Cultivate this year. Their energy and influence in the electronic music scene are unparalleled, and they are the perfect addition to our stellar line-up.
“This year’s festival will be our biggest and best yet, offering an unforgettable experience for all our attendees.”
