A group of youths ran off from the scene of a fire in Glenrothes after emergency services attended to extinguish the flames.
Police were called to Coul Reservoir at around 7.50pm on Saturday after the blaze was reported.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service put out the fire and no injuries were reported.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested in connection with the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.50pm on Saturday, April 3, 2021, police were called to a report of a fire at Coul Reservoir, Glenrothes. Scottish Fire and Rescue attended and extinguished the fire.
“No one injured. A number of youths ran off on police arrival, however, a 16 year old male youth was arrested in connection with the incident. Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
