Police are searching for a young woman reported missing from the Borders believed to be with her dog.

Ferne King was last seen in the Hawick area at 8.23am on Thursday, March 14.

The 23-year-old is believed to be with her dog, a grey/brown Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

She is described as being 5’1” tall with shoulder length blonde/light brown hair.

Police said her clothing is unknown but that she regularly wears black.

Inspector David Robertson said: “Along with Ferne’s family and friends, we are growing increasingly concerned for her wellbeing and are appealing for anyone who may have seen her to please come forward.

“If you can assist our efforts to trace her, please call police on 101, quoting incident 0995 of March 14 2024.”
