A woman was taken to hospital after being struck by a bus on a street in Edinburgh.

Emergency services were called to South St Andrew Street at around 12.25pm on Saturday after receiving reports that a pedestrian was struck by a bus.

The woman was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh Hospital for treatment.

Her current condition is unknown.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a crash involving a bus and a pedestrian on South St Andrew Street, Edinburgh, around 12.25pm on Saturday, March 11, 2023.

“The female pedestrian was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh Hospital for treatment.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
