A woman has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a bus in Edinburgh.
Police closed off Chambers Street in the city for almost four hours on Wednesday night following reports of the incident.
A bus hit the pedestrian around 11pm and she was taken to hospital where her injuries have been described as serious.

The road was closed while investigations were carried out and reopened around 2.40am.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11pm on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, police were called to the Chambers Street area of Edinburgh, following a crash involving a bus and a female pedestrian.
“The woman was taken to hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries, and the road reopened around 2.40am.”
