Firefighters rescue casualty from wreck following three-vehicle crash

A woman has been taken to hospital after a three-vehicle crash on Tuesday morning.

At around 8.30am on January 10, emergency services were called to reports of the three-vehicle collision on St Bunyan’s Place in Leuchars.

Three fire appliances and one heavy rescue appliance were mobilised to the scene by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS).

Firefighters removed one casualty from a vehicle.

The A919 at St Bunyan’s Place was closed following the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.30am on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, officers were called to a report of a three-vehicle crash on St Bunyan’s Place, Leuchars.

“One woman has been taken to hospital. 

“The A919 at St Bunyan’s Place is currently closed.”

A SFRS spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 8.28am on Tuesday, January 10 to reports of a three-vehicle road traffic collision on the A919 junction near St Bunyans, Leuchars, Fife.

“Operations Control mobilised three appliances and a heavy rescue appliance to the scene.

“Firefighters removed one casualty from a vehicle and together, with other casualties, they were passed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.

“Crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.”
