A woman has been charged in connection with attempted murder after a teenage boy was allegedly ‘stabbed’ on a Fife street on Saturday.
Police were called to a disturbance on Provosts Land in Leslie at around 9.25pm on September 24, where a 16-year-old boy was found with serious injuries.
The youth was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee for treatment and his condition is now described as stable.
A 26-year-old woman was charged in connection with attempted murder following the incident and she is due to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Monday, September 26.
Police have confirmed that the incident was isolated and said there was no danger to the wider public.
Inspector Kirk Donnelly said: “A 26-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with attempted murder following a disturbance on Provosts Land in Leslie around 9.25pm on Saturday, September 24, 2022.
“A 16-year-old male youth was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee for treatment for serious injuries where his condition is described as stable.
“We would like to reassure the community that this was an isolated incident and there was no danger to the wider public.
“The woman is due to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Monday, September 26.”
