A woman has been arrested after a nine-year-old boy disappeared overnight before being found in East Lothian.
The schoolchild disappeared at around 7.05pm on Friday, September 9, near Rowan Street in Dunbar.
He was located on Saturday evening, after officers carried out door-to-door enquiries and gathered CCTV footage.
Police have confirmed that a 29-year-old woman has since been arrested in connection with the incident and are currently in attendance at a house in Dunbar as enquiries continue.
A statement from Police Scotland said: “Inquiries are ongoing into the circumstances surrounding a missing nine-year-old boy from Dunbar who was traced.
“Officers are currently in attendance at a house in Dunbar and a 29-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the investigation.”
