A woman has died and another is fighting for her life in hospital after a two vehicle crash involving a lorry in Ochiltree.
Emergency services were called to the A70 Ochiltree to Coalhill at the junction of the Killoch around 1.30pm on June 4.
A woman, the passenger in the MG ZA, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where she died on June 10.
The 59-year-old female driver of the MG ZS was also taken to hospital and medical staff describe her condition as “critical”.
Police confirmed the 30-year-old male driver of the HGV was not injured.
The force is urging anyone with information regarding the crash to come forward.
Sergeant Gordon Stewart said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the lady who died and we are continuing our enquiries to establish the full circumstances surrounding the crash.
“I would also ask anyone who was travelling on the road around the time and who may have dash cam footage which could assist to contact us.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 1705 of June 4, 2024.”
