A dog has died after being attacked by two bull terriers in Angus.

The black Labrador died as a result of its injuries following the incident that took place in Montrose on Saturday.

The two Staffordshire-type bull terriers attacked the dog on Garrison Road, the Barracks, at around 10.45pm on Saturday.

Police are appealing for witnesses as an investigation into the incident has been launched.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information which could assist the investigation, should contact police via 101.”
