The moment a motorbike was stolen by a masked gang in broad daylight on a busy city centre street has been captured on video.
Footage shows the motorcycle being taken by the group in Saint Andrew Square in Edinburgh after setting off the alarm then making off in the direction of Queen Street as onlookers watched in shock.
There were four thieves, who arrived on motocross bikes, one of whom was armed with a tool.
One got on the saddle and broke the steering lock before rolling it down the street accompanied by others on the motocross bikes.

The incident happened just before 2pm on Thursday May 11.
Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
